- Search with your New York State Driver's License You can access all of the NOVELNY databases from the NYS Library website, and you can choose Health as your search category. You may select Health Reference Center Academic and you will be prompted to enter your NYS Drivers License ID or Non-Drivers photo ID. Once in Health Reference Center Academic you can go to the top of the page and select Change Databases to search the Nursing Allied Health Collection or other NOVELNY databases.

Need information about how to apply for a public library card? Monroe County residents can go to the Monroe County Library System web site for information. Residents of Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming and Livingston counties can go to the Pioneer Library web site to learn how to obtain a library card.

NOVELNY is supported with temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The New York Library Initiative is a proposal for permanent state funding for NOVELNY, a pilot project for the Statewide Internet Library.
